Alternatives to Suspension
If a student is guilty of violating school regulations each district is authorized to suspend that student. (According to 70 O.S. 2011, Section 24-101.3.) At its discretion, a school district may also require a student guilty of violating school regulations to complete intervention and prevention program as provided by designated Youth Service Agencies. Those programs include counseling, substance use education, and In-Step. Click here for counseling/substance use education referral form and Here for In-Step referral form.
