Southwest Youth and Family Services, Inc. (SWYFS) was established in 1972 as Youth Services of Grady County, Inc.

The organization began in the old hospital on Choctaw. In the beginning the emergency shelter for kids was the heart of SWYFS with a few other programs directed towards families and individuals in our community.

In 1998 SWYFS expanded to provide services in Anadarko, Oklahoma and again in 2020 to Cotton County to provide services to the students in Walters school.
